Hello, I'm Callum
I've been writing software professionally since 2017. I spent five and a half years at Codeweavers building SaaS products for the automotive industry in C#, .NET and Angular, splitting my time between feature work and the Software Security team.
Since 2023 I've been at TheTin, now as a senior backend engineer. I look after a set of client products, lead moves from .NET Framework to modern .NET, and own the release pipeline.
In April 2026 I founded Vantara Labs Ltd, a small UK software company that builds and runs its own web products. I do the engineering there end to end, from the Nuxt front end to the Terraform that describes the infrastructure.
What I do
Backend first: C# and .NET at work, TypeScript on Node.js and Firebase for my own products, with SQL Server and PostgreSQL underneath. On the front end I use Vue and Nuxt, after years of Angular. I care most about code that is easy to change later, releases that are boring, and infrastructure I can rebuild from source.
